A Rainy Day & A New Barn

So I woke up today with plans to finally go ride my horse. It was nice out, but the weather was hot, as it always is in the sunshine state :] Dave picked me up, we stopped at Publix for lunch and a pear for my Gus, and headed out the the barn. I even remembered my sunscreen this time! Gus was being awesome. We brushed him, tacked him up...and then heard the thunder.

So we decided to jet-set on out to this new place, Gainesville Equestrian Center. I pass it every single time I come home from my barn, but I never really had any interest in it. I didn't ever look at any other barns when I brought my mare out to Gainesville, so stopping by here really blew my mind. I've been pretty interested in moving Gus. Not because I have any problem with my barn, but the facilities are just not adequate enough to do what I want and to get Gus to the point I need him at.

As you can see, it is an amazing facility. Clean, roomy, covered arena [dances] i always wanted a covered arena. Not to mention there are some top-notch trainers there. I can really work with Gus and get him where I need him to be. I probably wont be able to move him until August, but I am super-stoked about it. I'll also be able to really build my clientele this way, what with more boarders and more people there in general.

Back to photography. Besides checking the place out, I also took some pictures of Alex riding. Lots of fun, but not nearly as good as it could have been. I was trying to stay out her way as much as possible, and the weather was NOT cooperating.

my favorite shot from the day :] a little dark. but i love it.

well thats it for now. goodbye for now!
